Having better gate keepers is the obvious solution. But, it is also the wrong solution. As long as you have gatekeepers at all, they are the ones who are in a position to deceive manipulate the public for their own selfish ends, and we are not in much position to do anything about it. What we need is to develop systems that don't require gatekeepers. Blockchain was developed to make this possible with currency and payments. Maybe it can be used to do the same with information?
