I am not sure my description of those making FAE is correct but the population I encounter who are prone to making attribution errors are criminology students. This is where FAE is a very useful concept to correct CSI perceptions of crime. How you unpack this argument within psychology is one thing but outside the 'knowing' audience the power of traits, dispositions, and genetics find a sympathetic ear. Most of the students I come into contact with are close enough to street life to know the importance of social situation - but many are not. FAE helps to burst the bubble.
