Why are so many people drawn to conspiracy theories in times of crisis?

Many of the reasons today's 20-something's have trouble dealing with life outside of their comfort zone is they never had the challenge when the stakes were low.
It's much easier to "find the will" when you are 10, 12, or 13 years old and have a parent or coach supporting you than when you are at your first real job staring down the barrel at rent and student loans.
It's up to parents to help our kids get out of their comfort zone, be strong, and curious and that builds courage.
