You bring up an interesting dilemma, Lily Ann. On the one hand, I also like doing things on my own time (ask my husband!). On the other hand, I have really appreciated times when life forces me to settle down and tune in -- the snowstorm that kept me at home or forced bedrest when I was pregnant, for example. And having solitary time blocked off on the calendar and protected can be reassuring. So no handcuffs, please, but a mandatory introspection I can plan for might be appealing to me. Maybe they could tax us if we opt out. :)
