No conclusions can be drawn. The data is invalid because the participants did not follow the instructions. This yields a different data set that speaks to participant non-compliance, not sexual behavior in marriage. The test should have been stopped and redesigned.
Also, the researchers did not seem to account adequately for pre-existing relationship issues which may have influenced the study.
Carnegie Mellon needs to be a bit more rigorous in its research.
