People who marry are more likely to want to conform, and live by a set of rules defined by society. Conforming provides happiness for these people.
Some married people believe that being married should make them happy, having sex with their spouse should make them happy. So if someone asks whether having sex makes them happy they will say yes, regardless of whether they are happy or not. Nobody can give credence to any study that asks people to self-report if they are happy or not. There is no way to tell if people are actually happy or unhappy.
