Religion fills a void. It tries to prevent chaos because
no one has ever seen God, so religion serves as an
explaination of what this God would have us do.
Men appoint themselves as mediators between this
God and humanity. Different societies are lead by men
with contradictory viewpoints. Each of these viewpoints
can't be correct, so that's why there's conflict.
People shouldn't even bother about an invisible God, that
doesn't bother with them.
The Bible says "No man can come to me EXCEPT THE
FATHER CALL HIM. "
Man can search for God, but unless God wants to be
found, the search will be fruitless.
Both disciplines have something to say about it.
