A long time ago I read a really good article about breaking up that said you should avoid hugging or touching someone too much when breaking up. Not hugging or touching them a bunch sends a really clear message that it's over. (And btw, if things are so bad you've been granted a restraining order... no need to have a compassionate talk!)
