Experts suggest ways to correct habits that keep us from resting well

Hi Ann Stacy, I have worked in the fields of early childhood education and early childhood special education for almost 20 years now both in a pre-k public school setting and in higher education. The greatest area of emphasis in early childhood education should be social-emotional-behavioral development. I have had the honor of having a front row seat to the incredible work done in this area. I have always said, if a child's foundation of social-emotional-behavioral development isn't build solidly, the rest of their "pre-academic house" will crumble. What many individuals don't realize is that we have to explicitly teach S-E-B skills in a positive, pro-social manner. I have the utmost respect for early care and early childhood educators who make very little money and do amazing work with our youngest humans. Be well!
