It is so powerful to realize that the time we spend with our young children lays the foundation for their future understanding of social bonds. As adults, we might consider a ride in the truck or stopping by a stream to take the time to show our child a small fish to be simple ordinary activities. It's wonderful to think that in the eyes of the child these can be dramatic, important, and wonderful enough to be remembered for a lifetime.
