Living in the past isn't a good thing, but feeling a little nostalgic can give you a boost. Along with improving mood, feeling the pull of yesteryear can give life more meaning, as well as counter negativity and loneliness. Even marketing and brand managers tug at collective heartstrings when they use nostalgia to sell their wares.
