Over the past year, my deep dive into the inner workings of large language models (LLMs) has evolved beyond technical curiosity. What began as a fascination with how these systems predict and generate language has deepened into something more fundamental—a journey into the hidden architectures of meaning itself.
The more closely I examined how language models function, the more I realized that the most fascinating thing about them wasn’t what they produced. It was what they built before a single word ever appeared.
Beneath every coherent sentence generated by an LLM lies a silent, invisible structure—a spatial organization of relationships and resonances, woven together from the input it receives. This hidden structure isn’t text or knowledge in the traditional sense. It’s something new—a frozen architecture of relational meaning.
I call this hidden structure the Vector Block.

The Vector Block is the high-dimensional field a language model creates when it processes a prompt. Before any words are generated, the model transforms the input into a dense geometric lattice or shape where every token—every word, phrase, or fragment—is related to every other across thousands of dimensions.

It's a cognitive structure or semantic terrain where ideas cohere and repel. And in this context, it becomes a relational map where meaning takes shape across this multidimensional space.
