What Is Reality?
Quantum physics research provides insights into reality.

For millennium, philosophers have been pondering the nature of reality. In the video clip available at the web address, below quantum physicist Anton Zeilinger (professor, University of Vienna) presents findings from the double-slit experiment that seem to indicate that we change reality just by observing it.
The insights that Zeilinger shares in the video supplement material presented in earlier articles in this series indicating that reality is not an absolute. For instance, people who are depressed perceive colors differently from individuals who are not depressed and the culture in which a person spends the first few years of their life influences how they interact with their physical world for the remainder of their life - and differentiates their experiences from those of others, who grow up in other cultures.
So, as you sit on the front porch this summer, drinking that iced tea, ask yourself: What is reality? And: How do you know?
