Named after my book Impromptu Man: JL Moreno and the Origins of Psychodrama, Encounter Culture, and the Social Network, in this blog I will explore my interests in the history of psychology, bioethics, neuroscience and biopolitics. My previous books on these topics include Mind Wars: Brain Research and the Military in the 21st Century, The Body Politic: The Battle Over Science in America, and Undue Risk: Secret State Experiments on Humans.
