Listen to Our Discussion of Forced Psychiatric Care

Here is a link to yesterday's Diane Rehm Show

Yesterday, Annette Hanson and I were guests on NPR's "Diane Rehm Show" to discuss our new book, Committed: The Battle Over Involuntary Psychiatric Care. Our other in-studio guest was Pete Earley, who wrote the foreword, as well as the Pulitzer finalist book Crazy: A Father's Search Through America's Mental Health Madness. Most recently he co-authored the novel, Treason. Two other guests were on by phone: "Lily," a woman we followed through Committed as she discussed how involuntary care helped her, and "Jayme," a social-work doctoral student who discussed her traumatic experiences with forced treatment.

If you missed the show but would still like to listen, the link is here.
