When a person seeks counselling, they want a safe space where they can talk, be heard and understood and to gain perspective to whatever could be troubling them. The client- counsellor relationship is thus based on empathy, support, trust and comfort, so that the client can talk about their most vulnerable emotions and thoughts without feeling hesitant or feel that they are being judged.
I use CBT, Mindfulness, DBT, ACT and Person Centred approaches and have worked with anger management, anxiety, depression, teen issues , chronic illness, family and marital problems. I have worked with clients spread over varied demographics across age, culture and issues. The languages I speak are English, Tamil, Urdu and Hindi .
