Jocelyn believes that just as plants bend towards the sky, everyone of us have within ourselves the propensity to seek healing and growth; the task of therapy is therefore to dig deep, uncover and facilitate these processes. This is made possible through increased self-knowledge and self-compassion, and an expansion of the capacity to engage in meaningful relationships. Jocelyn believes that change is co-created by the client and therapist in collaboration, with safety and authenticity as the cornerstones.
Jocelyn has a special interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and anchors her practice in recovery-oriented principles. She draws mainly from the psychodynamic modality, with a focus on working through the past (conscious and unconscious) to enable greater freedom in dictating the present.
