In my practice, I help individuals move through some of the most difficult moments in their lives the strong emotional tides and automatic responses that are often inherent to any unexpected life change, or past traumatic experiences. Our everyday responses to stress - anxiety, anger, irritability, bouts of depression, or fatigue and the effectiveness of our ability to cope with current stressors are often related to painful past experiences, some recent and some from long ago. My practice is dedicated to offering individuals the supports necessary to navigate through pain from our past to a place of resiliency.
As a therapist, I partner with my clients as we explore present difficulties or past traumas. I am a trauma-informed clinician, and my training and certifications in EMDR and Gestalt Therapy, as well as my education as a Mindfulness Skills Trainer help to guide my work with clients.
I am a perceptive, active listener who provides a warm, safe atmosphere where clients can express their inner life at their own pace. Through a supportive therapeutic process, my clients discover and build upon their own inner strengths and resources, which they learn to rely upon outside of therapy in their daily lives.
