Mount Carmel Behavioral Health is a premier provider of outpatient services for adults age 18 and older. In our intensive outpatient program (IOP), we help individuals who are living with moderate symptoms of behavioral health concerns learn the skills they need to achieve a better quality of life. We treat a variety of mental health disorders as well as co-occurring substance use disorders. Patients may begin treatment at the IOP level or step down to the program from a higher level of care, such as inpatient or residential programming. Patients in the IOP attend programming three days a week for three hours each day. Mansfield Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is located in Mansfield, Ohio, and provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older. MAT is specifically designed to help people who are struggling with addictions to heroin, prescription painkillers, and other opioids experience milder withdrawal symptoms, have fewer cravings, and maintain recovery. Many people might desire to stop using opioids, but the distressing symptoms of withdrawal make long-term recovery extremely difficult. MAT includes the administration of FDA-approved medications like methadone to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms and promote lasting freedom from opioids. In addition to medication, MAT at our CTC includes group and individual therapy sessions to address the psychological elements of addiction. Therapy sessions focus on teaching healthy coping skills to deal with stress, negative emotions, and challenges that may arise during recovery.
