I specialise in supporting clients to improve well-being on a mental, physical, emotional and spiritual level and cultivate a positive and healthy relationship with themselves and others. Oftentimes my clients are navigating stressful life events, negative thoughts, habits or patterns that aren't serving them, fearful thinking and/or low self-esteem. I hold a safe space for each of my clients and empower them to welcome all thoughts, feelings, emotions, sensations as they are, gently with no judgement. I also support my clients to discover their strengths, passions and purpose and find meaning, joy and happiness in their lives.

Some of the areas I have counselling experience in include: Adjusting to different life stages - Anger issues - Anxiety - Low / mid anxiety or depression - Controlling behaviour - Impact of Covid 19 - Domestic abuse - Grief and loss - Singleness - Self esteem /self worth - Relationships/ Separation - Shame and guilt - Spiritual growth - Work issues.
My role as a counsellor is to help you to get on the path to bring about the changes you wish to make in your life. I believe in listening to, valuing and honouring people and the path they walk in life. I am available to meet with you to discuss and talk through anything that is concerning you, or that you would like to see different in your life. An initial counselling session will enable you to discuss with me what you want to achieve during the counselling process. It will also help me to gain a bigger picture of who you are, so together we can work out how you will bring the changes you seek to make.

My approach draws on traditional and alternative counselling and coaching modalities. I use these approaches to empower my clients and my practice is strongly grounded in spirituality and energy psychology. Nourishment and healing are facilitated through energy-integration, visualisation, inner-child work and support in recovering a sense of self.

I support you if you feel lost at sea without a clear idea of how to get through your current challenges. Our life experience includes resources and stressors. We can function with a fair degree of stress, however it doesn't take much to upset this balance leaving us feeling unprepared for what we are experiencing. I can help you explore your experience in a way that is safe for you to do so. I trust in your own inner knowing that given the space and time and a little guiding will support a growth in awareness. This leads to more choices being available for you to come into a relationship with life that works for you.

My clients are ready to learn ways to help themselves. Together we embark on a supportive journey, whether that is through developing self-awareness, self-compassion, self-care, healthy communication, better life balance or about acquiring new skills and strategies to better support themselves. Client issues, needs and goals may be unique, but ultimately my clients are ready to try something new because old patterns produce the same old results.

My clients are often driven entrepreneurs who appear to 'have it all together' externally yet internally they are struggling with negative emotions, conflicted thoughts and/or relationship difficulties. This is impacting the quality of their decision making and effectiveness as a leader while also contributing towards a general dissatisfaction in life. Although I love working with businesspeople, I welcome all enquiries from anyone who has a genuine desire to improve the quality of their life.

I frequently work with the following clients - teenagers, university students, and adults. Are you feeling stuck within yourself, or your relationship with a loved one is strained and when you try and resolve it, the relationship actually gets worse rather than better? Are you feeling angry, sad or unfulfilled with your life and are ready for a positive change? I understand that challenges come up in work, in relationships, or inside of ourselves and I listen and share with you some new tools and perspectives to deal with your emotions and situations in a much more positive and helpful way.

I work with people on their healing journey who are over 20yrs who are not finding meaning in their life struggles. It may be despondency, fear, difficulties in relationships, a lack of self-compassion and/or other issues that fuel their troubles. Within the therapeutic relationship we explore what's been previously unheard and unacknowledged to find a place of safety, ease and peace inside and out. Difficult feelings are signals to unmet needs, and together we explore and work through unfinished business and grief to arrive at needs being met, self-acceptance and previously untapped positive energy (prev as a Health Psychologist).

We all want to live a life full of meaning and purpose. But sometimes our thoughts and feelings, habits, and attitudes seem to get in the way. The struggle with thoughts and feelings often leads to self-limiting choices and habits. Whatever difficulties you may be experiencing, there is always the potential for change. Reaching out to someone with a compassionate ear and practical suggestions is a first step in the right direction. I am passionate about helping people who are struggling, using tools I have learned through years of study, combined with my own personal life experiences and qualities.

My main modality of work is EMDR. I do use Narrative and Somatic therapy within my EMDR work. I work with people on all sorts of things that life may throw up. My work challenges a lot of your thought processes while teaching you skills. While in my work a lot of talking is involved you still have the choice of what you wish to share. All my work, is respectful of you as a person and your needs, even though it can be challenging at times. Success is the work you take away and use to help yourself. I provide psychoeducation and tools to help you. All my work is collaborative.

I am a culturally sensitive therapist with much international experience. My multicultural experience has been built by living and working in 7 countries across 3 continents. I have gained a unique set of skills that helps me see the world through the eyes of a diverse range of clients. There are factors that have a direct impact on a client’s therapeutic experience, such as race, ethnicity, privilege, religion, and socioeconomic factors. Being a culturally sensitive therapist helps me establish a strong therapeutic alliance, where my clients feel accepted, respected and understood, which is a prerequisite for successful therapy.

Self Esteem Counsellors
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
