I hold over 20 years of experience in private practice and community settings in both New Zealand and NSW, Australia, practising from a compassionate and empathic position as a way of helping you change, heal and grow awareness about your way of relating to self and others. I work with a wide range of presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, developmental trauma, grief and loss, sexuality, LGBTIQ+, couples therapy, midlife crisis, chronic pain and syndromes (Fibromyalgia, CFS). My current research passion focuses on environmental toxins such as heavy metals and other poisons and their impact on human suffering.
I approach psychotherapy from a relational psychodynamic perspective and value working with the whole person, including feelings, body, mind, spirit and environment. The therapeutic relationship is central to the therapy process, providing an opportunity for exploring both conscious and unconscious dynamics, emotional experiences, beliefs, and worldviews.
I aspire to create an emphatic space for therapy in which you can feel that your subjective experience is both welcomed and understood. This form of psychotherapy allows you to understand and heal from recurring painful experiences and events that may stem from limiting psychological and relational patterns.
