Drug and alcohol addiction affects people in different ways so treatment goals and follow-up support is tailored to meet the needs of each individual client, this can include: An Abstinence Approach - completely avoiding a substance for an individuals lifetime can be taken or A Harm Reduction approach - Developing practical strategies to reduce the negative consequences of substance misuse.
Drug and Alcohol Abuse is often not just an individual issue, it can cause issues with both family and friends in many ways. I offer therapy and support to help mend both individuals and family affected by addictions by giving you practical help and advice.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship (the way we work together) is essential to a good outcome and making the changes that you need to reduce the impact that drug and alcohol have on your life. My focus is to support you in improving well-being and resilience, and ease distress that may be getting in the way of you living a full and meaningful life.
