I practice a person-centered approach, focusing on the therapeutic relationship as a means to facilitate long lasting change. I am currently undergoing further training in The Conversational Model, psychoanalytic psychotherapy with the Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy. I work from a lived experience, trauma-informed lens, and work with people from all walks of life. Therapy can help in many ways, including stress management, understanding relationships, and navigating the effects of trauma. If you are seeking to identify and challenge unhealthy thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; please reach out.
I have worked in the mental health sector in Christchurch for over 15 years. I currently offer therapy for brief intervention; as well as longer term therapy, including psychodynamic. I am particularly interested in trauma and grief therapy. I am experienced in supporting people through the changing seasons of parenthood.
My approach encompasses relational therapy, prioritizing the therapeutic relationship to promote lasting healing and growth. This is a deeply personal road to travel, and I know that making that decision to start is often not an easy one. If you're experiencing specific challenges and would like to discuss anything further, please give me a call.
