I am registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board. My clinical psychology training was psychodynamic. I later completed training in Integrative Psychotherapy, focusing on Gestalt and Existential Psychotherapy, and I have been a UK Council for Psychotherapy Registered Psychotherapist (UKCP reg.) since 2007. I also utilise Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This means we can tailor an integrated and effective therapeutic approach based on the difficulties you are facing, your wishes and your needs.
I have a special interest in working with depression, anxiety, stress, supporting self-development, improving wellbeing, coping with workplace difficulties, life transitions and relationship problems. For further information about my professional background and therapeutic approach please see www.safetherapyspace.co.nz
I am the Director of www.mindfulnessauckland.co.nz which offers mindfulness courses and residential meditation retreats. I am also the Co-Director of the Mindfulness Training Institute: Australia & New Zealand, www.mtia.org.au/, which trains mindfulness teachers.
