Kia ora and Kumusta! I am a Filipino-American Health Psychologist based in Ōtautahi/Christchurch, and am privileged to call Aotearoa home for the last 12 years. As a Health Psychologist I specialise in helping people cope with physical health challenges as well as foster positive health behaviours (e.g. healthy eating, increase physical activity, improve sleep, adherence to medicines). I am passionate about helping people improve their wellbeing using evidence-based strategies.
I have specialist knowledge and experience with burn injuries, persistent pain, cancer, and dermatology. I started the first and only dermatology psychology service at Counties Manukau Health. Other special interests include clinical supervision for medical professionals. I also have a passion for working with BIPOC on identity and wellbeing.
