About
Anthony's (Tony) specialties are assessment and treatment of PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder) and associated disorders, Couple Counselling, Career Development, and is a LEADR trained Mediator. He was the first person trained in New Zealand in EFT (1996); EMDR (1995) and EDxTM Energy Psychology (2000). Anthony led a Mental Health Practice, Kilpan & Associates, in Ellerslie, Auckland for 25 years until July 2020. Anthony now consults from his home and base at Rainbow Trout Lodge, Lake Rotoehu in the Rotorua Lakes District, in Rotorua and Whakatane. From December 2021 Consultations / Appointments will be in Koutu Rotorua.
In the treatment of ASD and PTSD and associated issues full assessment is needed and a treatment plan created from the assessment findings. Associated issues such as sleep deprivation, depression, anxiety, phobias, relationship difficulties familial or work related are addressed. In Couple Counselling the aim is for a Committed Intimate Relationship.
It is important that a full clinical assessment is conducted to ascertain the relevant information to construct a treatment plan. Psychological Testing is used in this assessment. Clinical treatment tools / modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing); EFT ( Emotional Freedom Techniques) and other clinical tools will be used.
