I work with adults who struggle with relationships, alcohol, anxiety, and depression. My clients have often been abused sexually, survived domestic abuse and/or neglect in their childhood. This means clients might find it hard to be in close relationships, have a sense of 'being hollow inside', constantly worry about 'getting it wrong', find it hard to say no, be constantly busy, feel angry or frustrated at others, feel 'flat and rudderless' in life, and/or self-soothe (eg alcohol) to make life easier. I help people to process their psychobiography to feel more at peace.
I work with both private and ACC Sensitive Claims clients.
I have a MA in Psychotherapy (Middlesex University, London) and a DipHIP (BCPC, Bath). My rigorous training (2010-2018) included a wide range of theory, two placements and private practice. Placements were with NHS Mental Health Teams and with The SWAN Project (alcohol and life issues). I also worked as operations manager at The Green House (sexual abuse).
I work weekly. Either with private clients or I am registered to work with ACC Sensitive Claim clients in TLA51 Tasman District (eg Wakefield, Richmond).
