I am a clinical psychologist with extensive experience with a focus on providing therapy to adults and older teenagers experiencing a range of psychological changes negatively impacting on you and probably on those closest to you. These changes can include feelings of anxiety and depression brought on by the impact of external events, adjustments to changing circumstances or for reasons that seem inexplicable to you. I try to create a warm, supportive, collaborative and non-judgemental space for you to explore and better understand your current difficulties, and find a path to a more comfortable sense of well-being.
My therapeutic approach is primarily integrative making use of collaborative Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Supportive Therapy and Mindfulness to help facilitate change. On some occasions you will only need a space to be supported with an empathic ear.
I understand that each person will have different expectation of therapy and my initial response is to listen to understand your difficulties. Only then can you and I move towards exploring a way forward. The fact that you’re accessing this platform indicates you're looking to find an alternative path to assist you.
