Hi I'm Ben and I've been supporting people of all ages for over 20 years. I offer a safe space to explore issues, solve problems, learn new skills and gain insights. I work with a very wide range of issues, including but not limited to - depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, grief and loss, neurodivergence, youth and family, sexuality and sexual identity, relationships, financial stress, workplace behaviour and issues, interpersonal conflicts and so much more. As well as counselling adults, I have a depth of experience working with children, youth and younger adults, and parents struggling with parenting issues.
I am trained in a range of modalities including EMDR, ACT, Solution Focused Therapy and DBT, as well as a warm conversational, 'wandering and wondering' client focused style. I work as a counsellor at a Wellington University and this is my private practice in Kapiti, offered in person or online.
