As a trained psychotherapist, I can help you experience positive change with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, relationship issues or addiction. Psychotherapy is a “talking therapy” where we explore your concerns, thoughts and feelings in a way that can lead to improvements to your mental health and wellbeing. When something is painful we often try to ignore it. Sometimes we bury something so well that we lose sight of it completely. This is why difficult experiences from the past can still affect the way we feel and behave today.

Psychotherapy is a talking therapy that can illuminate underlying reasons for some of the emotional and relationship difficulties we face in life. It can help to improve how we think and feel about ourselves, and how we relate to others. Psychotherapy provides us the opportunity to gain new perspectives, supports the growth of self-awareness, and may help with accepting things we cannot change.

Hi, I'm a registered psychologist with 20 years experience of working with clients. I take a holistic approach (spiritual, emotional, physical and cognitive), and recognise that we all have intersecting identities. I'm interested in my clients’ individual story and believe that they are the expert on themselves. We are all unique and it's a privilege to work with a client to support their sense of self and wellbeing. I offer short and long term therapy from a lens that is cross cultural and draw upon a range of approaches and theories. I also provide professional supervision and workshops which are outlined on my website.

My clients are ready to learn ways to help themselves. Together we embark on a supportive journey, whether that is through developing self-awareness, self-compassion, self-care, healthy communication, better life balance or about acquiring new skills and strategies to better support themselves. Client issues, needs and goals may be unique, but ultimately my clients are ready to try something new because old patterns produce the same old results.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and I work with adults over the age of 18. I offer individual therapy in a safe therapeutic space where individuals can explore and understand themselves better. Therapy is a pathway that can help individuals to become more in tune with their authentic selves and strengthen their relationships with others. Psychotherapy aims to add depth to life and relational experiences by assisting individuals to understand what is causing them mental distress. Through greater self-awareness and exploration, individuals are likely to experience an increase in emotional, professional, and relational growth.

Everyone is faced with challenges throughout life and most of us experience some level of worry and stress at times. Therapy might be needed when emotional difficulties end up feeling overwhelming, last for a long time, interfere with your ability to function day to day, or if your actions are harmful to yourself or others. I fundamentally believe that troubling experiences and behaviours are inseparable from our social, environmental, socioeconomic and cultural contexts, and are understandable responses to our current circumstances, history, belief systems, culture, and bodily capacities.

Self Esteem Counsellors
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
