Jelena Kecmanovic Ph.D.

Jelena Kecmanovic, Ph.D., is the founder and director of the Arlington/DC Behavior Therapy Institute and an Adjunct Professor in the Georgetown University Department of Psychology.  She is an expert in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).   Dr K. previously worked as a professor at George Mason University, focusing on research and teaching. Her publications include research articles and chapters on depression, anxiety, CBT, and relationships. As a scholar, teacher, and practitioner, she is uniquely positioned to comment on ways to narrow the science-practice gap in psychology.
