Jeffrey Pickens, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology and previous Director of Psychology Programs at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. His training includes a master’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Florida, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Florida International University, with a specialization in Life-Span Human Development. He also trained as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Dept. of Pediatrics, and later served as an Associate Professor at James Madison University in Virginia. Dr. Pickens has authored over 50 peer-reviewed academic publications on topics such as Infancy and Child Development, Parenting, Emotional Intelligence, and the interface of Mind and Technology, and he is the recipient of grants and awards for research. Dr. Pickens is the author of Password for Your Mind: The User-Friendly Personal Upgrade, and he is passionate about helping others to upgrade their lives.
