David Schwartz LMFT

David Schwartz, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#87261) who works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in Westlake Village, California. He has extensive experience working with teenagers, facilitating a number of group therapy sessions at Beachside Teen Treatment Center in Malibu and Hillcrest Adolescent Treatment Center in Agoura Hills.

David is committed to helping adolescents prepare themselves for a healthy future. Many teenagers don't have the perspective to understand when they are engaging in behaviors that may create long-term harm to themselves. Whether it's drug use, self-harm, or neglecting their education, teenagers may be harming their futures without fully grasping the potential damage they are inflicting on themselves. David works to help adolescents understand their value in the world and why it is not in their best interest to continue self-destructive behaviors. Helping teenagers learn to live responsibly is an important step in helping them find their path toward success.

In addition, David has extensive experience in being able to relate to adolescents, starting with his former career as a writer for children's television programs. Some of the animated shows he’s worked on include Duck Tales, Alvin and the Chipmunks, A Pup Named Scooby Doo, and many others.
