Jen Golbeck, Ph.D. and Stacey Colino, M.S.

Jen Golbeck, Ph.D., is a psychologist and computer scientist and a professor at the University of Maryland. She is mom to a squad of special-needs rescue golden retrievers whose exploits are shared on social media as The Golden Ratio. Stacey Colino, M.S., is a writer specializing in health and science, and a certified health coach who has had three rescue dogs during her adult life. They are the co-authors of The Purest Bond: Understanding the Human–Canine Connection, on the science of how our bond with our dogs improves our lives.
