Daniela Owen Ph.D.
Daniela Owen, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and the assistant director of the San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive Therapy. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Sciences Program at the University of California, Berkeley. Owen is committed to incorporating evidence-based treatments into her work, carefully tailoring therapy to each individual or family’s needs for problems with attention/concentration, oppositional behavior, social skills, anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, mood disorders, stress, and adjustment to life transitions (including parent divorce). She also specializes in couples’ communication, satisfaction within relationships, and effective parenting strategies. Owen is the author of several children's books including Right now, I am brave; Right now, I am fine; Right now, I am kind; Everyone feels anxious sometimes; Everyone feels sad sometimes; Everyone feels angry sometimes; and The best gift ever.
