Carlos Alós-Ferrer Ph.D.
Carlos Alós-Ferrer, Ph.D., received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Alicante (Spain) in 1998. He has previously been an assistant and associate professor at the University of Vienna (Austria), and associate professor at the University of Salamanca (Spain), before becoming a full professor of microeconomics in Konstanz (Germany) in 2005 and later in Cologne, in 2012. He became increasingly interested in “psychoeconomics,” defined as the confluence of psychology, economics, and neuroscience to study human decision-making. From 2012 to 2018, he was the speaker of the interdisciplinary Psychoeconomics Research Unit, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). In 2018, he joined the University of Zurich as a professor of decision and neuroeconomic theory. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economic Psychology.
