I wholeheartedly agree with this and feel grateful when I cry, knowing I am releasing cortisol the stress chemical...and I always feel so much lighter afterwards. And the next day I actually feel the opposite to what made me cry and I feel blissfully happy! So it must do something...so actually I think it's good to be a sensitive person because then u r more likely to feel a negative emotion towards an event or comment and then cry from it...releasing more toxic emotion and stress.
