I like and agree with your article about crying. It (crying) is beneficial and is something we should feel good about when it happens, not ashamed of or embarrassed about.
I have one small thing to add. There is some evidence to suggest that humans are not the the only life forms to shed tears when we're sad (though we are the only simian). Some seabirds weep when they're separated from their babies. There have also been reports of baby elephants crying human-like tears when separated from their mothers.
