This article is so true!!! My mother rarely complimented me or told me “I’m beautiful/pretty”.....even as an adult she rarely compliments me and it upsets me more than anything that she doesn’t care to do those things with me?! I feel like I’m an over achiever and I want everything!! I wanna be better than her, and I don’t know if that necessarily a good thing? I just don’t wanna be her or end up like her?!
