This article was spot-on. Although I'm an adult, I retain all of the problems I displayed as a child--the very problems explained in this article. Thank you for showing me the self that I think I present to others. Even if these bad habits may not be obvious, they're still there inside me, and represent areas on which I need to work.

This was by far the best Psychology Today article I read today. Some others, by Marianna Pogosyan and Shahram Heshmat were appalling. Pogosyan's article on negative emotions was simplistic and told me nothing new. Heshmat's article was barely coherent. Until I read this article, I was starting to think that the Psychology Today site was going down the tubes. Thank you, Dr. Kennedy-Moore, for helping to keep the site respectable!
