Why are so many people drawn to conspiracy theories in times of crisis?
Verified by Psychology Today
Mass shootings present a great opportunity for parents to introduce children to the realization that not all problems can be solved. That does not mean they have to accept the situation. But their not accepting the situation does not mean they or anyone else has the capability to solve the problem. This is not negative or resigned thinking. It will help them focus on a more productive life, even if said life might be cut short by mass or some other kind of shooting.
