I’m so grateful to have gone to a “strict” Catholic school for K-8 in the 1970’s/80’s where we had weekly spelling lessons from grade 2 all the way through grade 8. I. learned. how. to. spell. (And punctuate. Those periods are for emphasis.) And I’ve always loved reading, both for learning and for pleasure. Thank goodness for those weekly spelling tests!!
