What Not To Wear: Bikini Edition

It's fine.

Wear what you want, and let others wear what they want. Different cultures have different standards and norming. In Europe, many women are topless at the beach. Not just gorgeous ones, either. Does that make you want to dress them, too?

If you don't like what you're seeing? Bring a book.

I think it is very hard for women, especially young women, to pass up on the attention that they receive by flaunting their assets.

Even though it brings bad attention, along with the good, they are addicted to being noticed.

I think it is a primal and basic human thing to "advertise the goods", but it can backfire too.

Take a woman that wants a man (Mr. Right) to be serious about her, but feels she has to wave her butt to get his attention.

Believe or not, many men are both attracted and repulsed by this mixed message.

It's hard to think "relationship material" when she has an "All Welcome" sign on her butt.

I was talking with a friend about your posting, and she told me she had just come back from a trip to Egypt. In that Muslim country, the beaches had a total mix of bathing outfits. One piece suits, bikinis, and women in complete modest coverups. It was up to the woman. Which is, come to think of it, what liberation is all about.
