I believe the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client is crucial. A non-judgmental, safe, and collaborative therapeutic relationship enables the client to flourish and drive toward growth and healing. By feeling heard, understood, and supported by an attentive other, we can learn to listen, understand, and support ourselves better. I work with adults using a Humanistic-Integrative approach.
I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and adhere to their professional code of ethics. My approach is described as Humanistic & Integrative, which means I consider the whole person and draw on different therapeutic models depending on each client's individual needs.
My special interests are in PTSD/CPTSD, issues related to childhood trauma/abuse, family estrangement, and sexual trauma. I have extensive experience working with a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
