Hello, my name is Ursula and I work as a psychotherapist online across Ireland. I understand that living with the weight of past experiences can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected or overwhelmed. Trauma can shape the way you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.
As a trauma-informed EMDR therapist, I work with adults who are trying to make sense of painful experiences. Many of the people I work with are living with the effects of trauma, bereavement, or addiction (either their own or a loved one’s). Others are dealing with the emotional impact of illness, anxiety, or sexual violence.
My background is in nursing, and before training as a psychotherapist, I studied sociology. I’ve worked in addiction services (both in the community and in hospitals), at a rape crisis centre, and in a cancer support service where I still offer therapy. I also have experience running groups and supporting family members affected by addiction.
My role is to offer you a safe, compassionate space where your story is heard without judgement. I use EMDR and an integrative, trauma-informed approach, grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect. I’ll meet you where you are — whether you’re ready to dive in or just need someone to talk things through with at your own pace.
