My name is Paul O Beirne and my aim as a therapist is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to enable you to be curious, explore, and develop awareness that can lead to positive personal growth. The purpose of therapy is to welcome in all experiences, feelings and aspects of you that may not have a voice in everyday life and journey compassionately with them together. You do you; because everyone else is taken.
I understand it can be difficult and at times traumatic navigating through life within an environment that is at odds with who and how you are. This can lead to issues such as low self confidence, anxiety, depression, substance misuse as well as feelings of fear and isolation.
Any individual that is perceived as being different in this world can suffer distress. Journeying towards individuality is a step away from the collective norm. UdoU Therapy recognizes and validates the diversity and difference within our society and enables clients to embrace and celebrate their difference.

I work within an integrative framework which means I adapt how I work with a client to help achieve their therapy goals. For example, the short term management of depression, anxiety and emotional distress or the more long term exploration and understanding of grief and loss or working towards living more authentically by gaining conscious awareness and understanding of your relationships.
