My name is Paul O'Beirne. I am an integrative adult, adolescent and intimate partner Psychotherapist and Sex and Relationship Therapist (Sexologist). I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and a registered member of COSRT (College of Sex and Relationship Therapists). My aim is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to enable those experiencing emotional dysregulation, concerning behavioural patterns and sexual functioning issues to be curious, explore, and develop awareness and techniques that can lead to positive personal and relational growth.
I understand it can be difficult and at times traumatic navigating through life within an environment that is at odds with who and how you are. This can lead to issues such as low self confidence, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues as well as feelings of fear, anger and isolation. The aim of therapy is to break shame cycles and be compassionatly curious.
Any individual that is perceived as being different in this world can suffer distress. Journeying towards individuality is a step away from the collective norm.
