I have dedicated twenty five years to working with young people, deeply understanding the challenges they face transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. My approach is unique because I believe that early intervention is key to preventing childhood issues from impacting Adult life. I offer counselling services in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, specialising in Adolescent Counselling. I also work on-line.
I have worked with Adults and Adolescents for many years. I have worked in Adolescent addiction treatment centres and have encountered harrowing experiences that young people have endured. In a lot of cases it was generational trauma and to help a young person break that cycle by engaging in healthy and new behaviours can be an inspiring moment for client.
Getting to the Counselling room is half the battle and I think it is important that you put the client at ease from the start and inform them that it is an equal relationship. I have had many living experiences of what clients present with and mixed with my training I can empathise in a congruent way and show unconditional positive regard.
