I use what is considered the gold standard of treatment for anxiety called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, also known as CBT. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) works because it gets you to challenge the distorted ways of thinking that is the cause of much of your anxiety. In therapy you will learn tools and techniques to challenge your anxiety.
I’m not your typical therapist. I will laugh with you. I will cry with you. I’ll be there with you every step of the way to deal with your anxiety. I’m a naturally warm and empathic man. So, when you are describing your anxiety, I do get what you are saying. I will walk beside you, supporting you, encouraging you but also challenging you.
