Our Team
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, lost or unsure what to do next. Or perhaps your relationship feels stuck, disconnected or caught in the same patterns. With individuals, I offer Person-Centred counselling where you can feel heard, understood and accepted, while exploring what is happening at your own pace. With couples, I use the research-based Gottman Method to understand your relationship and the patterns keeping you stuck. I believe counselling can change lives. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you, helping you understand yourself or each other and find your own way forward.

As we move through life, many factors and situations can affect our mental health. Whether that is job satisfaction, grievances, loss of purpose, anxiety over your future or identity issues. It is a courageous step to go to therapy. Therapy can offer a space just for you, to explore your inner strengths, identify goals and deepen your understanding of your own wants and needs. SMC Counselling and Psychotherapy offers you a place to gain awareness and insight, learn how to cope with difficulties that arise in your life, and learn strategies to cope with unhelpful thoughts.

Are you carrying something that feels too heavy to hold alone?
Grief changes you. So does anxiety, burnout, estrangement, or simply arriving at a point in life where you don’t quite recognise yourself anymore. Whatever has brought you here, I want you to know — you don’t have to keep managing it alone.
I’m Krystle, an integrative counsellor based in Swords, north Co. Dublin. I work with adults and teenagers (aged 12+) in person and online, offering a warm, non-judgemental space where you can speak honestly — at your own pace, without pressure.

Seeking help? Congratulations; it's likely the most important part of feeling yourself again!
Whether it be an inability to get any sleep due to life's pressures, or a secret battle you're fighting inside your head, you've come to the right place. I consider it my job to help you in these areas, to help you dissolve what is currently afflicting you. Maybe you need some time and patience break down your overwhelm; some practicality in deciding what your next right step is, or a listening ear for support, I'd be happy to hear from you.
